A native of Haifa, Israel, violinist Ziva Patt-Rappaport proudly became a United States citizen in January of 2006. Ziva is currently the concertmaster of the St. Joseph Symphony, where she was recently a featured soloist. She also performs regularly with the Kansas City Symphony. Previously, Ziva has been associate concertmaster of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, associate concertmaster of the Des Moines Symphony Orchestra, and first violinist of the Pioneer String Quartet. She has also played with the Cincinnati Symphony, Memphis Symphony, Des Moines Metro Opera, Colorado Music Festival, Spoleto Festival USA, and the Cabrillo Music Festival. She has performed in Europe with the Spoleto Festival Italy, Kammersinfinieorchester Darmstadt, and with the German Klezmer group Colalaila.
A graduate of the Indiana University School of Music, Ziva has studied violin with Miriam Fried, Burton Kaplan, Daniel Mason, and Benny Kim. Ziva previously taught violin at Tulane University, and now enjoys teaching her private students in Kansas City.
